Clay finish plaster

Clay fine plaster, or clay finish plaster, is a plaster made from fine clay and sand that is applied to walls to create a smooth, breathable surface. Application depends on the material. The classic finish is a rubbed surface. Finally, the surface is rubbed down with a smoothing trowel, sponge float, rubbing board, or similar tool until the desired smoothness is achieved. This also prevents subsequent dusting. Depending on requirements, the clay fine or finish plaster also serves as a substrate for a subsequent coat of ecological paint, preferably clay or lime paints.

Unlike conventional plasters, it contains no synthetic additives, making it particularly environmentally friendly and suitable for allergy sufferers. Clay fine plaster regulates humidity naturally and ensures a pleasant indoor climate. It can be produced in various colors and textures and is often used in ecological and sustainable construction projects as well as for the renovation of historic buildings.

Images on a display can never authentically represent a natural surface. However, we are proud of our range of regional fine plasters and are attempting to do so here anyway. Feel free to stop by and see for yourself how they look in person.
