natürlich bauen.

ABOUT US.

Our company is built on five solid pillars: a love for ecology, lived regionality, innovation, quality, and many years of experience. This is only possible because we love what we do.

However, what defines us at our core is our commitment to maintaining "ecological decency," as Niko Paech so beautifully phrased it. Because it is time for it. For the Earth we are allowed to inhabit and for all those who come after us and also wish to live. That is our credo.

And furthermore: Eco is the new "normal".

Kai Längle DI

Architect, Timber Construction Master, Renovation Expert, Building Materials Expert

For over a decade, Kai has been passionate about natural building and has always combined his construction work with research: out of personal interest as well as several years at the University of Innsbruck, focusing on clay construction, renovation options in historic preservation, and straw bale construction. In parallel, he gained extensive experience in self-build projects, particularly while building his own home, testing renewable raw materials.

Through his approachable nature, he has inspired many workshop participants and prefers to pass on his immense experience by providing guidance during self-build projects. He lives out his passion for permaculture not only in the garden but also in a professional context:

  • Cooperation instead of competition
  • Consider the long-term consequences of your actions
  • Polyculture instead of monoculture
  • Support other people in becoming more independent and self-responsible
  • Work where the work can have an impact
  • Use all resources at their highest level and recycle all waste

Thomas Mathis BA BSc

Project Manager, IT Expert for AI & Data Analytics, Craftsman

Two hearts beat with equal strength in Thomas. He is a curious, researching computer scientist and a spirited initiator of all kinds of movements and projects that have one goal: to inspire change processes and make the world a little more resilient, livable, and sustainable. He is a passionate community gardener, initiator of the Edible City of Dornbirn, and a potential promoter, as he is secretly called.

At natürlich bauen, Thomas is responsible for organization; he also loves to dig, mix, and tinker—for the sake of balance. He discovered his love for clay as a building material long ago and practices it in his craftsmanship with enthusiasm.
